Chas Fitzgerald - President

Chas Fitzgerald joined Wilbow Corporation in 2002. He has 30 years of experience in all aspects of real estate, and has been responsible for Wilbow’s Dallas operations through the historic challenges of the global financial crisis while building its portfolio with diverse, award-winning projects.

Fitzgerald has led Wilbow into innovative developments such as the Chapel Hill community adjacent to McKinney’s historic district, and the Tribute at Mills Branch in Lancaster, which won the best urban design award from the Greater Dallas Planning Council. He also conceived the first green-belt community in Collin County at Greenspoint. Since joining Wilbow, Fitzgerald has worked closely with home builders, municipalities, site analysts, and landscape architects to build environmentally sustainable neighborhoods that fit into the existing fabric of the community.

Chas FitzgeraldPrior to Wilbow, Fitzgerald was Vice President of Project Planning at Blackard Developments, where he designed several master-planned communities, including Lakes on Legacy, the top-selling luxury neighborhood in Collin County. In addition to handling marketing and homebuilders, he oversaw governmental affairs and served as a founding member of the Frisco Developers Council.

Fitzgerald has worked both as an employee at the Irvine Ranch-based Koll Companies as well as an independent consultant to several REITs. He designed the Metroplex's first traditional neighborhood development, The Homestead, in Carrollton, and wrote the City of Frisco's first TND ordinance for David Weekley Homes.

He also spent seven years in mortgage banking, working with many leading national mortgage houses. Fitzgerald began his private sector career with HOK Architects before joining The Cambridge Companies, where he expanded their residential operations into Raleigh-Durham.

Fitzgerald earned degrees in both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture as part of an Honors Program in Versailles, France and a Masters in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois.
